Re: Are short FG's/XP's harder?

I find it... let's say interesting, that my kicker (92 ACC, 92 PWR) seemingly struggles with FG's shorter than 40 yards, especially 35 and shorter as well as XP's.

Is there a motivational thing that's going on or? What I've observed so far, is that the long FG's generally are much more straight when kicked, like the game is set up to make all kicks "exciting".

I've never seen a kick blown completely far wide or extremely short or something. It's always narrow misses. But when pretty much all kickers in the league have missed extra points and my kicker has missed 5/15 from sub 40 yards, I'm thinking something's wrong.

He's made 7/8 at 40-49 and 3/3 at 50+, including a 57 yarder. So generally, his kicking shouldn't be an issue. He should, imo, be pretty much automatic below 40 yards.

The kicker may be good but your long snapper and holder are average at best. For some reason your #2s at those position were involved in your first fg last game. Your best snapper is on ir? But your rookie te has 83 snap...that might help a little if you play him.

But how does that explain the difference between short and long range FG succes?

Holder and snakker less important for long FG's?

Idk. A bad snap or hold can happen at any time. Being clutch is a different story. I think you got a a hand ful bad rolls combined with imo poor snappers and holders. I use guys 90 or 70 at least . It mitigates this problem
