Just now, in mfn1, the computer selected a punter high in the first round (pick 8 i think) for a computer owned team. I assume that's a glitch...

I suppose the obvious Q's have to be asked....

1. Was this on the new version of the game or the (soon-to-be) legacy version of the game?
2. Did you already have a Punter on your roster?
3. Did you set up your draft board correctly?

I’m pretty sure he is saying the computer drafted a punter at pick 8.

I would agree that is ridiculous, but only one of many ridiculous things that don’t get fixed while over one years worth of attention is directed at site parity, borders and color tones. Just an observation.

just read this and did not look at draft pick but can answer

1. the version would not effect a draft pick - irrelevant

2&3. it was an unowned team as stated

bonus....if a punter averaged 80 and could pin at the 1 on the reg he would get drafted in first round, but that punter does not exist, so there is never a reason to draft a punter in the first round

the automated draft picks are among MFNs most glaring flaws. should just choose whatever player has highest trade score by default

Yeah, I should have read the Q correctly - that does sound like a bug to me.
