That was an odd game 6-3 overtime loss by Detroit that saw Detroit run 78 plays for 347 total yards and had 3 points to show for it. Stat of the day and what eventually lead to the OT loss the Detroit punter had 7 punts and averaged 18.14 per punt.

Basically, the AI decided I didn't need a punter so I don't have one. Kinda like me having a 180 lb DT

Not meaning to sound like a **** but this doesn't make sense.
If you sign a punter and put him in the depth chart he'll play, same goes for kicker and any other position as well. The league is AI controlled only in terms of the gameplan, you've got control over signing players and setting the depth chart.
