I do not understand for the life of me why my team runs the ball over half the time on 2nd and long or 3rd and long. That’s stupid. 2nd and 12 and 3rd and 7 or longer should be a pass 90% of the time. I also do not understand why my team is incapable of converting in short yardage situations. 2nd and 1? Let’s run a sweep and lose 4 yards. 3rd and inches on the goal line? Nope, no full back dive we’re gonna run the lead that takes 3 seconds to develop and get stuffed. Or throw it. Why is there no QB sneak? Why can’t my team run plays that are actually short yardage plays?

Adding on a little here my team loves to run it on 1st down, get tackled for a loss, then turn around and run it again on 2nd and 12 and then 3rd and ridiculously long even though it’s the 4th quarter and we’re down. I just don’t understand the lack of situational football.

Yeah it's pretty horrible. It's not uncommon for me to lose to inferior opponents simply because of bad play calling.

Yeah I lost one earlier 13-10 and it was very frustrating to watch haha.

Just swap out your HC for one with a Different Philosophy. I know for a fact different schemes have different plays, but yes i agree 100% can be cringe-worthy at times lol. If you dont wanna go the HC swap route just need to meld your team to fit the mold, notice you run alot?..get the best RB's you can and take advantage of other players via overrides

Yeah I’m sure no one has been paying attention to my moves recently but I changed HC last season and both OC and DC this season. Wanted the philosophies to match up a little better and most of the season it’s been great. Been slinging the ball all over the place except for those random drives when time is of the essence and we decide to run it for a super quick yet time consuming 3 and out. I’m 5-2 so I’m not upset about it necessarily, somehow came back and got a 2 point conversion to win in OT this week after I’d stopped watching the sim cuz I assumed I’d lost haha.

But yeah I’m guessing this is just something that everyone deals with and if you build a good team, you’re better equipped to overcome a couple losses as a result. Needed a punt return to beat Miami and I’m sure they weren’t happy about their play calling that game.

Definitely can't have a QB sneak in roster only. Play calling is bad enough without a fumbling statue precision passer running into dlineman.

Seems the better your team is, the worse the play calling is.

My Team IS better than most, my HC is pretty darn good. I have utilized my overrides and depth chart to the best of my ability and still can't buy a win.
My hands are tied..lol
