None have been 3-2 final scores though: 1 2007/11/26 Pittsburgh Steelers 3 - Miami Dolphins 0 1 1993/12/11 New York Jets 3 - Washington Redskins 0 1 1982/12/12 New England Patriots 3 - Miami Dolphins 0 1 1979/12/16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3 - Kansas City Chiefs 0 1 1977/10/16 Buffalo Bills 3 - Atlanta Falcons 0 1 1971/11/14 Minnesota Vikings 3 - Green Bay Packers 0 7 1978/10/22 Buffalo Bills 5 - Cincinnati Bengals 0 7 1970/12/26 Dallas Cowboys 5 - Detroit Lions 0 That said, I agree that an abundance of ultra-low scores probably would not be healthy over the long haul. That said, one preseason game makes for a small data set so I'm nowhere near ready to panic yet. lowest scoring games combined = http://mcubed.net/nfl/pttotlgm.shtml lowest scoring games for regular season = http://mcubed.net/nfl/pttotlrs.shtml lowest scoring games for playoffs = http://mcubed.net/nfl/pttotlpl.shtml found 2 games that scored less that 3 points The Green Bay Packers defeated the Chicago Bears 2-0 on October 16, 1932. link = https://www.google.com/search?q=The+Green+Bay+Packers+defeated+the+Chicago+Bears+2-0+on+October+16%2C+1932.&oq=The+Green+Bay+Packers+defeated+the+Chicago+Bears+2-0+on+October+16%2C+1932.&aqs=chrome..69i57.1002j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 The Chicago Bears defeated the Green Bay Packers 2-0 on September 18, 1938. link = https://www.google.com/search?q=The+Chicago+Bears+defeated+the+Green+Bay+Packers+2-0+on+September+18%2C+1938.&oq=The+Chicago+Bears+defeated+the+Green+Bay+Packers+2-0+on+September+18%2C+1938.&aqs=chrome..69i57.881j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

So, short answer here: the AI game plans are all garbage.
I watched about 40-120 hours of alpha league games when I was diagnosing problems with 0.4.3 back in January and February before my life got really busy. All AI game plans are genuinely awful. It's one of the reasons why it's really hard to diagnose exploits until code goes live because the AI game plans minimize it. JDB should find a bunch of game plans from consistently good players to run the alpha servers with. It would make diagnosing problems easier. He should also turn over game planning to someone else and have them reset all of the default game plans. Another fun fact: AI teams don't play rookies because the current player sort is set to best overall instead of best potential. ... The more you know. |

Punisher you found 2 games from the 30s. I said the last 50 years. Obviously a lot has changed in football since the 30's. I think you are really going off on a tangent here anyway.
My original point was that scoring was down overall in preseason week 1 compared to every other league (9 total) that I have personally drafted a team with an allocation draft. Go back and look at the first preseason games of other new leagues with an allocation draft....you wont find a trend or pattern in the scores, you will find a wide and varied spectrum of scores for all the games. Whether the scoring is high or low overall doesnt matter for the competitive balance of a league. Now that the team is drafted in this roster only league, an owner has almost zero impact on the outcome of the games. Besides setting the depth chart, small tweaks to the roster and future drafts, trades and free agents, our impact on the team is over. I would venture to say that 90% of you roster is set for the first 2 seasons. |

Honestly, I was just making an observation and now I truly regret sharing it. Time will tell what the future scoring will be like, besides there is nothing we as owners can do to change it anyway.

I'm just sharing from my observations watching season after season in alpha servers that these scores are perfectly representative of AI game plans. |

You're fine -- I wasn't trying to attack you or anything when I chimed in and appreciated the observation because I really hadn't scanned beyond my own game and my upcoming Week 2 opponent so probably would have missed the overall trend had you not called attention to it. |

Finally somebody who understands why I'm concerned about the scoring. In essence, you could draft a Ferrari but the AI wont go over 30 mph |
