2019 Regular SeasonThe fact that you can't even control run/pass ratio means you have no way to get the AI to call the game to your strengths. It wouldn't be so bad if the short passing game were viable, or if running the ball were better.
As we as a league enter the second season of this failure of an experimental tryst, I, for one, am still scratching my head as what to do. For the past two seasons in this league I have let the AI make all of my GM decisions as to who to draft, who to start, and who to play at what position.
Just take a look at my 2019 AI Computed Draft
1) With the 8th pick in the first round, the AI picked
RG Daniel Taylor . The AI moved him to starting RT. He busted in training camp +2/-7
2) With the 12th pick in the second round, the AI picked for my team
C James Mosely . He busted in training camp +1/-3 and is listed second on the depth chart as Center.
3) With the 11th pick in the third round, the AI picked
C Joseph Hughes and moved him to starting Center. So basically, I wasted a high generated AI pick in the second round.
By now I am thinking that my team is generating towards a run-based team theme with three AI picks on the O-Line with a 63.3 current Average Run-Blocking Attribute.
4) With the 29th pick in the third round, my AI generated team picks
WR Joseph Godines and moves him to the #4 RB position while placing him at #5 WR.
