Coaches retiring

Sooo what is the current setting for coaches and retirement? Because I had a great head coach who retired at 58 which in itself is pretty young to be retiring as a head coach in the NFL, then my next head coach retired at 54???????? And my offensive coordinator hit 58 and also retired. I haven’t been able to find a competent head coach who can average more than 10 points a game since even though my QB has amazing ratings that somehow don’t translate to playing well at all. I have a decent line and really good WRs too so I can only assume it’s the coach.

Coaches generally retire between 54 and 59, though can rarely retire outside that range. With regards to your offensive woes the games sim system autobalances bad and good teams a little so the better your players are the worse they play sometimes.

So by the time a guy is actually a good head coach he’s got a couple years then retires... that’s great totally realistic and just another awesome mechanic that could be fixed and won’t be. I think I’m done with this garbage if the ratings on your players have no correlation to how good your team is... that’s like literally all we’re trying to do here

Coaches have very little to do with games. They are mostly how fast your players progress and playbooks.
